Europe is home to some dreamy places. In fact, at Finest Journeys we think it is hard to find a European city that isn’t cute and quaint. But does it have places that are romantic enough for you to Honeymoon in Europe? Although, when we mention that, we aren’t talking about the well-trodden paths that lead most couples to Paris and Lisbon. If you are thinking of going off that path, then you may be in luck!

We did some research to select five of the most romantic places that aren’t as well-known. After all, wouldn’t you’d rather share a slice of heaven with just your better half for a company?

Here goes…

Bergamo, Italy

Sure, you have already seen everything there is to see in Rome on your previous visits. But we doubt that you were paying much attention to Bergamo while there. You may have been too busy worrying about the new anti-littering laws. We recommend to you a land home to many rich, tranquil lakes. Every photograph you take will feature the magnificence of the Alps in the background. But that isn’t all.

You may agree with us when we say the Best Way to Travel Europe is with your partner. Why not treat them to a visit to La Pasqualina? An authentic Italian dessert place where you can feed each other sweet and savory cakes. Dip a finger into semifreddo sweets or share a tiramisu. Enjoy sipping teas from all around the world while at La Pasqualina. Don’t forget to take away some delicious ice cream before you leave. You know…for later!

Würzburg Bridge, Germany

The Würzburg bridge in the Bavarian region doesn’t have a romantic history at all. It even sustained severe bombing damage during the Second World War. But today, it can be a part of the Best European Vacations and here’s why. When the clock strikes 6 in the pm, take your love by their hand, and grab a bottle of wine and glasses. Then walk down to the bridge and drink together while watching the setting sun. The city of Würzburg has the charm of a town. We’d recommend going there in the fall to delight in the autumnal color of its trees.

Granada, Spain

Everyone is familiar with the two jewels of Spain, i.e., Barcelona and Madrid. But not many people, except for true globetrotters, deign to visit Granada! Is your other half a history lover? Then taking them to Granada would be worth it just for the multitudes of Spanish heritage sites.

Afterward, stroll hand in hand through the majestic Alhambra palace grounds. Once you have reached the Albayzín neighborhood, quaint cafes and tapas restaurants await your pleasure in the day. By night, the vibrant nightlife beckons you to stay. But don’t stop there! Let the magic of flamenco music woo you both. Flamenco is a combination of graceful dancing, beautiful lyrics, the impressive range of a flamenco singer’s voice, and audience appreciation. Wondering Where to Travel in Europe? Don’t dismiss Granada just yet!

Alsace, France

Think of Alsace as an amalgam of the best things about France and Germany. Located on the Rhine river, Alsace is the perfect place for a romantic bike ride! You will be surrounded by picturesque beauty. Here, each village looks more spectacular than the one you visited before it. You and your loved one will be riding on roads winding through vineyards and up and down the hills. And when the towns of either Riquewihr or Ribeauvillé come in sight, you will understand why couples love coming here when they Travel Within Europe. The towns have a fairytale feel to them with houses painted in colorful hues, water wells, and a 13th-century gate. The twin towns were the inspiration for the village in the evergreen fairytale, Beauty and the Beast.

Porto, Portugal

Porto is not Lisbon, but it is the second largest city in the country and one of the many great Travel Destinations in Europe. After you have tasted the food, seen Ribeira, and shopped at the Bolhão Market, take your darling to watch a fado show. If you haven’t seen one yet, imagine beautiful Portuguese guitar-playing while there is Port wine for you to sip. Choose between just enjoying a fado show on its own or book tickets to one that includes dinner.
